Fact is that under device admin the ft232r device appears as unknown and not installed. The usbmod232r is capable of transfer rates of up to 1000k baud rs232 and 3000k baud rs422 / rs485. Device manager shows the ft232r usb uart device under the heading of other devices but the properties for this device says the drivers aren't installed.
